Sunny
This balm was born from a refusal to settle for the "natural" sunscreens that still carried hidden damage. After years of searching for a product that honored the sun’s life-giving power without the oxidative betrayal of oils like sunflower and grapeseed (which, under light, turn against your skin, accelerating damage, spots, and aging), I created Sunny as a shield of nourishment, preventing the damage associated with sun exposure, without actually blocking the sun. This is why you will not even find the common natural alternative sun blocking ingredient, zinc oxide. This was not created to block the sun. “Let the Light in” is my motto.
Sunny is a blend of oils and butters that strengthen your skin’s resilience, offering a gentle layer of protection while letting the sun’s magic do its work. Many have used it with mindful sun exposure and found their skin thriving. Over the years I’ve received hundreds of reviews from customers raving that their previously sunburn-prone-skin was actually able to receive the light without burning or becoming pink.
Sunny is not a substitute for traditional sunblock. It is a companion to the sun, a way to meet its rays with intention, not fear.

INGREDIENTS:
SHEA BUTTER: SPF 4-6. Raw, unrefined. Wildcrafted in Togo, West Africa, by a fair trade organization that provides a source of income to local communities through programs including supportive, empowering women's co-ops. Created by cold pressing the fruit of the karite tree.
Shea butter is highly emollient and rich in antioxidants, including Vitamins A and E. It heals dryness and soothes skin conditions such as dermatitis, psoriasis, and eczema. Shea butter can be useful in treating burns and sun damage and is also a favorite for helping reduce the appearance of scars and stretch marks.
COCONUT OIL: SPF 4-6. Unrefined, virgin, pressed using low temperatures from the flesh of fresh coconuts in the tropics of Mexico. Coconut oil is high in saturated fats, which are excellent for revitalizing, moisturizing, and relieving dry or damaged skin.
JOJOBA OIL: A superior carrier oil for skin, due to its molecular stability and low poly-unsaturated fatty acid content. This organic oil is pressed from the beans of the shrub-like Simmondsia chinensis plant. Minimum pressure is used to obtain the high-quality oil since the beans contain approximately 50% of the oily wax as its own, natural protectant. Jojoba closely resembles our skin’s own sebum—the oily secretions our skin produces to protect itself—making it a natural alternative to moisturizing creams. Jojoba is highly penetrating and contains powerful antioxidants, which means it is deeply moisturizing and healing.
BEESWAX: Organically crafted beeswax New Zealand. Unrefined, lightly filtered, pure, and natural! It is a rich, golden color and divinely aromatic. The surrounding fields where these bees live are in their natural states and are unsprayed. Beeswax makes this sunscreen waterproof, protects skin against damaging elements, is resistant to oxidation, and has anti-bacterial, and anti-inflammatory properties.
CARROT SEED ESSENTIAL OIL: SPF 35-40. Organically grown. Steam distilled from the dried seeds of the carrot seed plant, also known as Queen Anne’s Lace, cultivated in exquisitely white, flowering fields in India.
Carrot seed is high in antioxidants, which helps protect the skin from environmental assaults. Carotenoids, in particular, have been found to enhance the body’s response to UV rays. Also containing beta carotene and vitamin E, which can help prevent burning when overexposure occurs.
HELICHRYSUM essential oil: Wildcrafted. Helichrysum Italicum, also known as Immortelle, is revered for its unparalleled regenerative and protective benefits in skin care as well as its anti-inflammatory and anti-cancer properties. It contains compounds that promote healthy skin cell growth and regeneration. It also helps speed up healing of wounds, burns, and rashes and reduces scarring.
